The Social Impact Design Celebration is a yearly event, hosted by Inscape Publico, celebrating those supporting social impact design in the architecture, design, development, and construction fields in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, recognizing the leaders in social impact design and showcasing the best built and future projects. The term "design" has different meanings across different fields, architecture, art, graphics, engineering, landscape architecture, and industrial design; however, there is a common thread with social impact design where creative professionals can use design to create positive change and lasting positive impact. This is what the Social Impact Design Celebration communicates to the DC design community.
Awards + Showcase
The Social Impact Design Celebration highlights the work of leaders dedicated to social impact design, including an awards presentation and a showcase/exhibition of the best in social impact design in the greater Washington, DC area. The awards presentation recognizes those who have demonstrated passion, leadership, and excellence in the field of social impact design. Both the awards presentation and the showcase/exhibition educate the local design community of the positive impact built projects are having in our local neighborhoods and how to actively engage in using their unique skills to serve the public good.
